St David’s Church

Holmbridge

Located opposite the village cricket pitch, our warm and welcoming church is a vibrant hub of faith and community life. We offer a range of services to suit different worship styles, from traditional liturgy to contemporary praise, so everyone can find a place to connect, reflect and belong.

If you are looking for a traditional service with an organ and robed choir, or would even like to join a choir, our 9.00am service could be perfect for you. We have communion on 2nd and 4th Sundays and a Morning Worship service on the 3rd Sunday.

If you are looking for a relaxed, informal church service you will find a home here.

On the first Sunday at 10.00am we have an inter-generational service called Worship Together. On weeks 2 and 4 our “Sunday@11” service includes contemporary music led by our worship group and we typically have communion once each quarter.

St David’s is the hub for most of our children’s work and our family worker is based here. We hold junior church on 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays and have crèche facilities for little ones. Our mid week Youth Club and Toddler Group meet in St David’s Church Hall.

As Christians we believe we are called to care for and nurture God’s whole creation as stewards of all He has created. Here at St David’s we are beginning to look at what we can do, both as individuals and as a church, towards creating a better climate for all. We are using resources from Eco Church, a national project organised by A Rocha, to help in this.
