Our Services
Each Sunday we meet together to worship God and have fellowship together. We follow a monthly pattern of services across our four churches. We also have a mid-week communion service at Holy Trinity Church in the centre of Holmfirth.
Sundays

Held at each of our churches on various Sundays each month. Using Common Worship liturgy, usually with organ music, services vary between traditional hymns and sometimes a mix with more modern songs. We welcome all baptised Christians to receive communion.

Breakfast . Community . Church
An informal gathering for all ages at St David’s Holmbridge Church Hall on the 1st Sunday of each month at 10am - 11am. An opportunity to share a light breakfast, build community and worship together in creative ways.
Starts Sunday 6 September

An informal service at St David’s Holmbridge on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of each month. It includes contemporary music led by our worship group and lasts about an hour. We typically have communion at this service once each quarter.

Held at each of our churches on various Sundays each month, this “Service of the Word” is centred around the reading and preaching of Scripture, communal prayers and music.

Through simplicity, silence and meditative music, this communion service seeks to draw us into a deeper awareness of Christ’s presence, Held at Holy Trinity Holmfirth @ 5pm on 2nd Sunday of each month..

A bi-monthly opportunity to learn and grow together in God’s great outdoors (suitable for all ages). Takes place at various outdoor locations around the Holme Valley from 2.30pm - 4.00pm. An informal service that takes place each term and includes crafts and activities for all ages. This rotates round our four churches. Usually lasts about 1.5 hrs. Dates and further details will be advertised under Featured Special Events.
Midweek Communion
An informal Celtic style communion service takes place on Wednesdays at Holy Trinity Church in the centre of Holmfirth. Come along from 12pm -12.45pm to spend some gentle quiet time away from the busyness of the world.

Children in Church
St David’s Church in Holmbridge is the hub for most of our children’s work.
We run Junior Church sessions on 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays for children aged 4-14 yrs old. Everyone starts in the church service before the children head off to hear Bible stories, play games and get creative in their own space.
(Please note: Junior Church is taking a break until 13 September)
On the 1st Sunday of the month (starting 6 September) adults and children come together at 10am in the Church Hall for a creative, intergenerational, café style service: ‘The Bridge’ - Breakfast/Community/Church.
For children under 4 yrs there is a creche space in church with age appropriate toys and books and space to feed your baby. We have changing facilities too. Little ones must be accompanied at all times by their responsible adult.
